My Schooldays weren’t happy I’m not filled with glee,

When I look back and think of the very young me.

Maths I disliked and I faced It with dread,

Pythagoras Theorem remains in my head.

School dinners were awful the thought of them hurts,

Tapioca (like frog spawn) they served for dessert.

I hated PE done In long navy drawers,

And prayed that the boys wouldn’t look through the doors.

I’d sit and watch cricket and cheer at the play,

Till the ball hit my head I’m not right to this day.

Though time passed so slowly and now it goes fast

I’d never return To those days from my past.
